Comms Unplugged teams up with 3×1 to launch this year’s scholarship scheme – three free places now up for grabs
We’re buzzing to announce a new partnership between Comms Unplugged and 3×1 – one of Scotland’s leading public relations, digital marketing and public affairs agencies – as we bring Comms Unplugged to Scotland for the very first time in September 2025.
While Comms Unplugged Scotland has already sold out, we’ve got even better news – thanks to the support of 3×1, we have three free places for Comms Unplugged 2025 up for grabs through our fabulous scholarship scheme, resurrected this year thanks to our lovely sponsors.
Comms Unplugged has always been a level playing field (well, there are a few lumps and bumps in the field…) – open to everyone, whatever stage they’re at in their comms career or whatever their background. But we know that sometimes there are barriers – whether that’s finances, lack of confidence, feeling out of the loop, or other circumstances.
The 3×1 Comms Unplugged Scotland scholarship is designed to give extra support to comms professionals who are:
- Member of a protected group under the Equality Act 2010
- New comms professionals (in the first 2 years of their comms career)
- Comms professionals made redundant from a comms role in the last year
- From island or rural communities
- Returners to comms (maybe after a career break, maternity leave or other reason)
- Members of small teams (of 3 or under who have limited funding or chances to get to development).

You can apply for yourself or nominate someone else – you’ll need to get their permission if it’s someone else. Please give as much detail as you can to help us understand your circumstances, or those of the person nominated, and why you feel you/they would benefit from attending Comms Unplugged this year.
