The
stats don’t lie. Comms professionals are among those most likely to experience poor mental health. Long hours, constant connectivity, and relentless demands can chip away at even the most resilient of us. That’s why making time for wellbeing isn’t a luxury – it’s a lifeline.Enter Comms Unplugged. Born in a Dorset field in 2017, it’s grown into a powerful movement that puts people before pixels. No phones. No WiFi. Just space to breathe, reflect, learn and connect with others who get it. A top-up of personal wellbeing and professional development.
In 2019, being so stretched that I missed the first night, I joined the tribe. I needed it – and didn’t realise just how much until I connected with the Comms Unplugged community round a campfire. I never looked back.
This year, Comms Unplugged is coming to Scotland – and it could be just what you need.
Whether you’re new to the profession or a seasoned pro, Comms Unplugged Scotland offers the rare chance to step away from the noise. Expect inspiring speakers, workshops that lift you up, and the kind of community that wraps around you like a warm blanket on a fresh Scottish hillside.
It’s not about how many people you know. It’s about the connections you’ll make. Don’t worry if you’re coming solo or part of a group – say hi to me or the organising team and we’ll make new pals together.
So if you’re ready to unplug from work and plug into what really matters – your wellbeing and development – then join us in the field.
