Selina Hales is the inspirational Founder and CEO of Refuweegee, the Glasgow-based charity that has redefined what it means to offer a warm welcome. Since 2015, Refuweegee has provided over 10,000 welcome packs to forcibly displaced people arriving in Scotland – each one filled not just with essentials, but with compassion, handwritten letters, and the sense of belonging that turns strangers into neighbours.

Her story is one of courage, vision, and the determination to do things differently. Leaving behind a corporate career, Selina created a brand with social purpose, rooted in community, dignity, and human connection – and it has become a movement that influences far beyond Glasgow.
